Galvan, a Silicon Slopes-based startup creating blockchain-based goods and services with a health focus, revealed two fascinating new collaborations during its most recent Community Call.
The CEO of Galvan, Dr. Adam Sharp, presented Dr. Wiggy Saunders, a physician from North Carolina and co-owner of the online store “Health as it Ought To Be,” which sells vitamins and other health items. In addition to expressing his enthusiasm and support for the Galvan project and its goals, Dr. Saunders declared that his company will take payment in the cryptocurrency token IZE. On the IZE Blockchain, the native token is called the IZE token.
In the Galvan+ Wellness App, users can earn the IZE token through blockchain-based healthy behaviours. In the upcoming future, the token can be spent in Dr. Saunder’s marketplace to facilitate more healthy decision-making. The loop is perfectly consistent with Galvan’s mission to promote and reward making healthy choices and accepting responsibility for your own well-being.
Bradley Willden, President of Switch Reward Card, who will offer the cryptocurrency industry services through its Switch Pay product to enable the acceptance of the IZE coin, was also introduced during the community call.
In addition, Willden said, “This is an exciting step and a great use case not only for IZE but the entire crypto industry.” Dr. Wiggy Saunders also mentioned that things would be discounted at retail when IZE is used as payment and that the payment site accepting IZE should go operational later this quarter. According to Adam Sharp, this is the first marketplace of its kind, with others planned.
Dr. Sharp announced partnerships in addition to celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Galvan+ app’s launch. Galvan+ is a blockchain-based wellness app that enables users to earn rewards for engaging in healthy behaviours, such as completing a daily Wellness Check-In by providing a voice sample that is analysed by AI using vocal biomarkers.
